September 1, 2025 – ELG, a global leader in the recycling of secondary raw materials and an integral part of Aperam, a global player in stainless, electrical, alloys and specialty steel as well as recycling and renewables, today announced a significant brand evolution regarding its EMEA North region. Effective September 1, 2025, the companies in this region will transition from its current ELG brand to a singular, unified brand, adopting the Aperam Recycling logo across all its operations in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.

This strategic move follows the introduction of the Aperam Recycling double brand earlier this year, which was designed to visually underscore the strong synergies and shared vision to be the leading value creator in the circular economy of infinite, world-changing materials. The full adoption of the Aperam Recycling brand in EMEA North is the next logical step in this integration journey, building on the strong market recognition of the Aperam name in this key region.
The change highlights the increasing strategic importance of recycling within Aperam's overall growth strategy and its commitment to a closed-loop production model. While the visual identity is changing, the legal entity name of the company remains ELG, ensuring a seamless business flow for all partners, suppliers, and customers.
"This is a pivotal moment in our integration with Aperam,” says Jan Hofmann, CEO of ELG and Aperam’s Recycling and Renewables division. "By fully embracing the Aperam Recycling brand in this region, we are not only aligning our visual identity but also reinforcing our unwavering commitment to a closed-loop production model. This step strengthens our ability to deliver sustainable, circular solutions and unlocks even greater value for our customers."
The adoption of the Aperam Recycling brand solidifies ELG's crucial position within the Aperam group, underscoring a unified purpose to create a more sustainable future.
