Aperam Recycling Announces Management Transition in its North American Region

Duisburg, May 11, 2026 - Aperam Recycling today announced that Chris Niles decided to step down as CEO of its North American Region (AMER) to pursue new opportunities. Chris concludes a 25-year tenure with the company, having served in various commercial leadership capacities prior to his role as CEO.
Committed to regional success and long-term business continuity, the company is pleased to appoint the following management team to lead the next phase of strategic advancement: 

  • Evan Dyal will be assuming the role of CEO, AMER. Currently serving as General Manager of the Mobile, Alabama location, Evan brings 18 years of deep operational and leadership experience to his new role.
  • Andres Montes will be the new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), AMER. Andres, who currently serves as Head of Specialty Sales for Aperam Recycling North America, will leverage his 21 years of commercial expertise to drive our regional strategy.

The transition is already underway, with the official change taking effect on July 1st.
