Aperam Recycling Drives U.S. Brand Transformation with NASCAR Debut at Watkins Glen

07.05.2026

WATKINS GLEN, N.Y., May 7, 2026 – Aperam Recycling is accelerating its North American brand integration this weekend by hitting the track at Watkins Glen. In this co-branding partnership with precision technology provider SciAps, Inc., the #39 car will feature the new Aperam Recycling brand identity during the NASCAR O’Reilly series race on Saturday, May 9th.

The race marks a significant milestone in the company’s evolution, especially within the U.S. market, signaling the formal transition from its legacy ELG Utica Alloys brand to a unified global identity under the fully integrated Aperam Recycling banner.

"Bringing our new brand to a legendary track like Watkins Glen is the perfect way to showcase our global momentum and deepened commitment to the U.S. market," said Nick Corby, Chief Commercial Officer of ELG Utica Alloys. "As we align our operations under Aperam Recycling – and prepare for the official launch of Aperam Recycling Advanced Metals – it unites us under one single recycling brand with the One Aperam Vision.”

This race celebrates the intersection of high-performance racing and high-performance recycling, powered by our incredible teams and technology partners like SciAps, Inc., who provide high-precision, handheld XRF and LIBS analyzers that deliver fast and reliable material verification to our U.S. operations.
