ELG Utica Alloys Group Aligns with Global Aperam Recycling Brand

31.03.2026

Duisburg, March 31, 2026 – Aperam Recycling today announces the formal transition of ELG Utica Alloys to the Aperam Recycling brand. This alignment marks the final phase of the global brand rollout initiated in 2025 across ELG entities and represents the uniquely integrated business model inside Aperam group. Additionally, it projects the global identity of One Aperam under one single, powerful recycling brand.

Following the immediate transition of the brand to Aperam Recycling, ELG Utica Alloys will adopt the standardized legal naming structure: Aperam Recycling Advanced Metals, followed by the respective country of operation. The ELG logo and space shuttle imagery will phase out across all business correspondence and digital platforms.

This transition encompasses all ELG Utica Alloys facilities worldwide, including locations in the United Kingdom, United States, South Africa, Singapore, and Germany. While the brand shift begins immediately, the detailed rollout of specific actions and final legal name changes will proceed throughout 2026.

Shared Vision of Circularity

This alignment reflects the shared vision of Aperam to be the leading value creator in the circular economy of infinite, world-changing materials. Since becoming a central pillar of Aperam in 2021, the Aperam Recycling business has been vital to Aperam’s zero-waste goal, highlighting the strategic importance of high-performance alloys in a closed-loop model.

Commitment to Growth and Investment

“This milestone marks an important chapter in our integration journey,” says Jan Hofmann, Member of the Aperam Leadership Team and CEO of Aperam Recycling. “ELG Utica Alloys is an integral part of our value growth strategy. We are not only changing the name; Aperam is committed to realizing the full potential of this division and intends to drive its growth as we build a global leader in recycling of valuable advanced metals.”

Continuity for Partners

To ensure a seamless transition, Aperam Recycling confirms that there will be no changes to existing teams, quality standards, or local contact points. Business partners and customers will continue to receive the same premium service, now backed by the fully integrated global strength of the Aperam brand.
